I hung my work bag on the entry hook like I do every day.
The plate popped loose from the wall before I even let go.
My bag slid down and hit the floor by the door, and the hook sagged forward like it had given up.
I crouched there still holding the strap, trying to push the plate flat again with my other hand.
It would sit for a second, then wobble right back out.
I tried one more time because apparently I thought my thumb was stronger than bad wall anchors.
Nope.
The bag spent the night on the floor, and the hook stayed there looking decorative and useless.
