Manager Was Already Inside My Apartment

The INSIDER

I heard keys outside my apartment and opened my bedroom door.

The building manager was already inside, looking through boxes in the living room for a storage panel.

I asked what he was doing, but he kept moving things around like I was the one interrupting him.

There was no notice, no call, and no real explanation.

After he left, I noticed the small blue light on my camera flashing in the corner.

At least it had recorded the whole thing.

Been through this too?

once they crossed that line, it usually got worse.

Landlord Tried My Door Before Sunrise Before sunrise, I woke up to my lock moving. Locked In The Stairwell With No Phone Or Keys The fire door locked behind me and the emergency button did nothing.
Reality layer This is a privacy problem, not just an awkward mistake.

What this gets at

What’s actually happening here?

Privacy inside the apartment is not being treated as firm. That is the real failure here.

Why does this usually get worse?

Once the entry is brushed off, every notice or sound starts feeling like the next repeat.

What do people usually do next?

Lock down the record. Dates, messages, and any camera proof make this harder to wave off later.

When does this cross a line?

This crosses a line when entry stops feeling clear and contained. One mix-up is different from a pattern people have to brace for.
